Dry Brushing

Dry Brushing: What is Dry Brushing & Benefits of Dry Brushing ?

Are you thinking about dry brushing? It is not a bad idea at all! In fact, dry brushing is a great way to exfoliate, reduce the appearance of cellulite, and help your lymphatic system drain itself of toxins.

Ok, yes, we know it looks a little bit like your using a horse brush to comb your skin while getting ready for your morning shower. But so what?! It is a time-tested skincare method that has been in use since ancient times and it works!

What is a dry brush? A dry brush is a natural-bristle brush which literally brushes your skin with using long strokes toward your heart. Usually, you start at the feet and work your way up, going over each area of the body several times.

How to use a dry brush

The Benefits of Dry Brushing

  1. Support Your Lymphatic System’s Health!

It is a major part of the body’s circular system and immune system. It is made up of organs and lymph nodes, ducts, and vessels that transport lymph throughout the body. Many of these are found just below the skin. Dry brushing regularly helps stimulate the normal lymph flow within the body and helps the body detoxify itself naturally by draining the toxins right around the heart.

  1. Super Exfoliation

Dead skin cells are naturally exfoliated from the skin during process of running a firm, natural bristled brush over it. This leaves your skin feeling softer and less dry from the very first time you try it.

  1. Cleanses & Reduces the Size of Pores

The added benefit of exfoliating the skin is clearing oil, dirt, and residue from the pores. This leaves your pores clean of the usual suspects of acne and they are also much less noticeable, thus reduced in size.

  1. Reduces Cellulite

This is everybody’s favorite part about dry brushing and while not absolutely proven, many people will absolutely swear that it does when dry brushing regularly. Basically, the brushing stimulates blood flow below the skin surface which plumps the skin. In turn the bumpy cellulite is smoothened over.

  1. Natural Energy Boost

By increasing the blood circulation in your body, you will naturally feel like you have more energy. So we don’t recommend doing this at night. But you will rock your day if you dry brush in the morning.
